The idea of "toxic masculinity", "toxic feminity", "toxic whiteness" etc. means "the way you are born is not acceptable and you need to be formed into something else". This is not a way to build a society. Don't privilege or punish identities, build shared purpose for all.

“Tocix“ signifies an unhealthy over-identifocation with an arbitrary set of looks and behaviors, not the particular identity per se. It is used to show, that the identity (the place in society) you've been assigned at birth can become a prison, from whicht you *can* free yourself

The goal of feminist theory, which is where the term 'toxic masculinity' originated, is emancipation and liberation. The goal is not shaming men for what they are, but pointing out aspects of the traditional idea of masculinity that might be harmful for a person.

How can you distinguish that from reshaping and opressing others, once you have adopted the view that freedom is somehow zero sum (own freedom = privilege – opression by privileged)? Progressivism is not liberal anymore, ie it does not believe in creating freedom for everyone.

I'm sorry, I have literally no idea where you got your 'zero-sum-game' from. How does this relate to anything I've been saying? I'm also stunned by how you got some kind of threat of oppression from a mere offer, a path towards liberation that has opened up by feminist theory

Btw, I really don’t want to aggravate your egregore. We should probably not have discussions that touch on political commitments as long as we don’t have a personal foundation.
