The language of qualia is similar to the language that a synthesizer uses to produce sound and music. The integration of qualia into a first person perspective is similar to how a novelist creates a fictional character that experiences qualia.

Every fictional character that has the experience of qualia written in their story may report on the experience of qualia, when that story is given access to the language centers.

Sense data are computational models (generated by the brain) that predict sensory patterns. The model parameters are inserted into the narrative of a fictional self that thereby believes that it experiences them, just like a character in a novel believes in its experiences.

Of course, because "you" are not a brain. You are a character in a story generated in a brain. The character does experience and believe, because it is part of the story. Can't you see you are in a dream?
