.@Plinz What do you think of Judea Pearl’s causal inference and do-calc?
I don't understand all the implications of category theory. I suspect that it is mostly a metatheory of mathematics itself, not of search. (Mathematics is about formal languages that give rise to a set of interesting fractals, and category theory discovers the metafractal.)

People use category theory as a tool in many branches of math and computer science. The simplest trick is to convert a problem from one branch of math into one in another, solve it, then carry the answer back.

This is what I tried to imply above, while answering the original question (is category theory going to converge in a general metatheory of model search), to which I don't see the answer yet.
