Now out in is something I hope u like 🛑 the Med School Arms Race. We incentive students to craft lavish CVs to get into med. school, but by doing so, are we doing them, our patients, and ourselves a deep disservice? Allow me to persuade you 👇

Another wonderful piece by . For those applicants who had high school or college jobs bagging groceries, working as a waiter, &c, PUT IT ON ERAS! I know you don't believe me now, but food service has far more relevance to practicing medicine than pipetting in a lab

I've taken 4 epi courses in the past 1 year, however, this episode taught me more practical ways to apply that knowledge in a clinically meaningful way. gives you the tools to interrogate literature and build a routine to stay up to date.

The points about reading a trial and writing down in your own words what question was being asked, and how it was answered, were striking. Also striking: when VP asked audience if they'd like to ask questions, or hear him riff on nutritional nonsense, they chose the latter. 😂😂

The part towards the end where explains the reasons why it's important to be up to date and to keep a critical perspective reminded me of 's explanation a while back which really stuck with me ever since:

Great podcast by with suggestions to help doctors keep up when a) 2 million articles published a year b) lots of companies and interest groups trying to manipulate physicians and public opinion. Bottom line: get on Twitter.

1/2 - Thank you for recording! We’ve enjoyed the analysis of trials on and use them to inform our journal club. Wondering if Plenary Session might be interested in starting a longitudinal walkthrough series on analyzing trials in hem-onc setting?
