Because Placer County is still under the state’s order, we currently don’t have the ability to make a local decision about when to reopen. Governor Newsom made it clear this week that the initial loosening of order will be made by the state, and for the entire state. (5/6)
Placer County is focused on making progress in areas such as testing, health care system capacity & contact tracing capacity, while working with businesses and other community stakeholders to plan for a safe, phased reopening. (6/6)
