this just the line OUTSIDE city clerk’s office to get ppl REGISTERED to vote. wait about ~4 hours long. almost no one leaving. over a thousand students registered JUST today. long lines annoying.... but hard to imagine ppl would wait this long to vote for anyone but bernie

Honest question from a Bernie voter in AZ - last time and this time, tonight's results be damned: Why are Bernie supporters waiting until *Election night* to register? If this shit mattered to them at all, wouldn't they have registered yesterday, or last week, or last month...?

We find it’s helpful not to blame voters for not early voting or registering early - voters that maybe have more immediate needs to attend to (classes, a job that doesn’t let them reschedule, figuring out how to be an adult)

And instead of blaming these folks who are tying - thinking about how our system preferences homeowners that need to update their address or change their routine, that provides suburban polling places with tons of resources

What would a voting system that gave the same preferential treatment students or new voters look like? What would it be like to ask that from our city, county, or state?
