      An older gentleman, an immigrant from the Caribbean, at my polling place in Brooklyn at 2pm: “In all the years I’ve been voting at this school, I’ve never seen it like this.” Long lines of people either on lunch breaks or heading to work later (me). “It’s nice to see!”

      Part of the long lines, now sneaking outside of the gym and just part of the reason, is that only 3 of the 9 or 10 scanners at the polling place are working. The others keep jamming. Poll workers called the Board of Elections at around 10/11am and a guy just arrived.
