No you don't :< And it's not hard to implement. It gives you so much more control!! You just have to keep track of what's on the heap :D

yeah I agree it's manageable. I used VLD.h for my last C++ project since it's still hard to catch them all.

but I admit it's something you get better and better at picking up on the more you practice garbage collection.
