@PitfallCreator Question about Pitfall 2: in patent 4,644,495 you specified a free running clock of 42Khz for the music mode fetchers. However, in the release of Pitfall 2, the clock seems to be running at around 20Khz. What was the reason for the difference?
I don't remember any particular reason. A patent specification, including any preferred embodiments describe the inventiveness of the patented idea. The circuit in the DPC chip practiced the invention using parameters that made sense at the time. Sorry I can't offer more details.
