Russ, I have published nearly 100 games on more than 20 platforms. Out of every system I worked on the Atari 2600 is my favorite. I will almost certainly publish another game at some point, but only if I can make something really special. When I do you will hear about it here!

Would you use an additional custom chip like in Pitfall II or would you stick to the standard VCS hardware?

I have no problems with added hardware in a game cartridge. After all, I made the first one with the DPC chip used in Pitfall II. But if and when I publish a new 2600 game I will want it to be compared to every game ever made. So I wouldn’t use hardware acceleration.
