So much for "see something, say something." We expect people who are scared for their lives, when they witness a gang related murder, to cooperate with the authorities but if you see the POTUS commit a crime; no problem. Write a book about it and make money.

Someone who witnesses a felony and fails to report it may be charged with 'misprision of a crime' (18 USC § 4). The maximum sentence is 1/2 of the max sentence that the crime itself entails.
