They need to come up with another way of describing what type of person they are attracted too other than ‘straight acting’ as if ‘ gay acting’ is something beneath them. I get they want someone with things in common but come on.

He was clearly looking for someone who shared the same interests as him: like all of us. It just happens to be that those are stereotypically straight interests - I wouldn't call it internalised homophobia. Not that he doesn't seem annoying - he does.
