A musical can’t afford more than a few big name stars at a time. Sometimes it’s Billy Ray Cyrus and sometimes it’s Nene Leaks. But whoever the biggest star is gets top billing, regardless of roles.

Jesus Christ Superstar live advertised Sara, John, and King Herod on posters even though Judas is arguably the main character. (Played excellently by Hamilton star Brandon Victor Dixon, but the average person isn’t tuning in for him.)
