Josephine Baker has LOTS of name recognition — and I learned who she was 20 years ago when I was in middle school or HS, at the same time as, or before, I knew who Frida Kahlo was. She may be obscure to you, but not to anyone who knows anything — so don’t treat her as if she is.

I read the headline, like who are they talking about, and then saw it's Josephine Baker and can't believe they buried her name like that. Like, for why?

You know Josephine Baker takes up less space. And is more accurate. Interesting that you named Frida Kahlo, tho.

Josephine Baker spoke at the March and said: "I have walked into the palaces of kings and queens and into the houses of presidents. And much more. But I could not walk into a hotel in America and get a cup of coffee, and that made me mad." DALMAS/SIPA/ASSOCIATED PRESSpic.twitter.com/8RSjcU23AT

I may not have liked every president we’ve had; however I have always respected the office of the president. Dumpster has made sure no one will ever again.

Psssst...*whispers* Josephine Baker has name recognition. You can use her actual name in a tweet. Just like you did with Frida Kahlo...
