It's 2018, and studio execs are still afraid to have a mainstream film with a LGBTQ character. We've not come as far as we'd hoped.

we gotta support indie films that represent LGBTQ+ characters!! I recently stumbled across
#Becks a new indie-romance film I feel does a really great job of showcasing real LGBTQ+ stories. Available on VOD Feb 9t:https://apple.co/2DhpuWb

Additionally the sexuality of the characters has never been relevant in any areas of the JK Rowling Harry Potter universe. So again this is fans setting expectations without basis and letting themselves down. Hardly news.

The sexuality of the characters was the entire subplot of the book. Harry-Cho, Harry-Ginny, Ron-Hermione, Hermione-Quiddich guy. Etc and so on. Your blindness is because the ONLY sexuality was hetero as portrayed. To say no sexuality existed is simple failure to see.

Well since his relationship with grindelwald literally affects the plot of the hp universe at the time the movies are set at, i dare to say it might be pretty relevant to the story :)

I'm not even surprised at this point. It's not like representation or Dumbledore and Grindelwalds relationship is IMPORTANT OR ANYTHING :)))
