They did nothing wrong no need to apologise. Everyone can ask for a chaperone if they are uncomfortable. They are a health care professional at the end of the day there only concern is doing their job.

Close cropped hair and tattoos - plenty of women have these. Stubble - some non-trans women have polycystic ovary syndrome and grow facial hair, which they often choose to shave. Yes, the nurse in question was trans, but these generalisations smack of gender stereotyping.

My previous GP was male and did my smear tests for years. Now i have a female HCP. As long as the practitioner is respectful and does their job properly, I don't see why their gender should matter.

Another poor article talking about a patient being uncomfortable with a trans nurse then jumps to trans patient issues. My 7 year old nephew knows better.
