It’s good he has apologised but why are people so quick to attack nowadays? I am not condoning what he has done at all.

I know what you mean. It sounds like he genuinely meant no harm and was messing around. But kids don’t always pick up on subtle teasing. I know from personal experience, stuff said to you as a kid sticks with you well into adulthood. Many will say it’s good he was challenged.
