no, not anyone's right to control what others think or say. This is how you respect eachother. You have your opinion, I have mine. You can say or call me what you want and you can do the same. That's respect. Anything outside of that is just one side trying to control the other.

There's is not really a tangible negative to learning someone's pronouns. It's just like learning someone's name; you may think someone looks more like a david, but they prefer to go by jack. You would probably call them jack even though you initially saw them as a david.

Fair enough. It's ok not to care about that, it's just that most trans people feel quite sensitive about what people call them due to their experience in life.
