Shame on everyone in the thread who is all "we should go with who is qualified," which is really just you saying you doubt that there are that many qualified LGBTQIA+ folks who could fill these positions.

Of course they should go with who’s Best qualified. In these roles policy, previous outcomes, experience is specific and relevant. You want the largest pool of candidates. The best person may involve a gendered view for a few roles. There should be no prejudice in recruitment
