Dude is just projecting. He's a professional attention seeker who "can't sell a contradiction" (his words) He has professed his respect for trans people in the past. He just lives in a country that has hated him, and told him so, his whole life.

This is a disappointing headline. The focus should be on the fact that he made transphobic statements, and not on people being upset about it.

I'm sorry, but calling the famously androgynous singer transphobic is ridiculous. He has a point, that whilst there are the people who are using them generally, there's also a very large population of people using them for attention.

People don't like it because they build their entire existence around trivial shit like gender, pronouns and sexuality, and when someone doesn't pay attention to the focal point of their existence, because they have nothing else of interest about them, they have a hissy fit.

I mean after reading his tweets they do seem pretty disrespectful. He’s not singling out the people who might use them in an aggressive way, but just as a general thing. Essentially saying “I see what I see” is very dismissive.
