I’m not big on tattoos but if I had one to mark the birth of a child I wouldn’t be getting rid of it. I’d get another to mark the new occasion. That way you have the memento of birth you wanted while paying tribute to the person that baby has grown up to be

As a parent, my only concern is that my child is happy. If that meant covering or removing a tattoo I would do that. To leave it there, to hurt my child, is not about cherishing a memory, it's about not letting go.
