Read the news better. Zoo's from dm al over the world are pairing these birds with their same sex. Let's ask where did the penguins find these egg, in a zoo? Was it lingering around our was it placed a part as someone's agenda?
-
It's not uncommon for monogamous like penguins to pair with the same sex in the wild. The egg was likely abandoned by a breeding pair in the zoo and given to a pair that do not have any eggs. I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually a means of advertisement.
