It doesn’t at all if you remember Scotland was last to let consenting adults over 21 have a homosexual relationship. It is all changed now but a lot of that generation still exists and won’t change, and still want to be heard in parts. Time will bring it down to under 10%.

Depends how it compares to other home nations... having lived in England and now back in Scotland I can say I feel generally more accepted here than in England, as a foreigner and being gay.

Unfortunately Scotland still has a very large Church of Scotland following, so no it doesn't suprise me. Where there is religion there are problems.

It’s a really small sample but no I wouldn’t be surprised if it was somewhat accurate having lived in society as a gay person for a number of years and having found some degree of homophobia, and usually a fair spoonful, in every arena of life.
