This is utter rubbish. I worked in the NHS for 12 years and this was never once an issue. The concept that there is a reason to revisit the policy has been engineered for ideological reasons and not practical ones.

I wonder as a trans pāpā, if I'd had a hospital birth, which gendered ward this gentleman would have preferred me to have the baby in?

Last time I was in hospital I was in a 5 bed room with 2 men, 2 women and the bathrooms are unisex, and it’s not a new hospital... what is their problem

Utter drivel. Aroused ? So do we ask patients if they are aroused by men or women on admission and allocate a ward accordingly. Clearly made up for airspace. The minister should apply some common sense fix real problems.
