I mean, Don Cheadle, Vincent D'Onofrio, Ellen Page.. those folks actually used their voice in a public forum for us. This is all great and helpful, but it's not "incredible". It's called allyship. I'm grateful that famous people are using their voices in this way, at last.

She signed an open letter; hardly an incredible act. Once again a cis person is getting a lot of recognition for something small, while trans people who dedicate their lives to activism and actually have something to lose for standing up for trans rights are ignored.

To clarify, I'm glad she signed it. I'm glad she's supportive and showing public support. But let's keep this in perspective.
