Whilst I agree the most appropriate actor should get the role, I did read that over 59 LGBT roles have been nominated for oscars and only 1 of them was actually LGBT, Ian McKellen. Which makes you think.

Even taking into account that gay men might be over represented in the acting profession, most male actors will still be straight. Now narrow that down to good ones. Narrow it down again to suitable ones for the part. We need to stop looking for conspiracies everywhere.
