I still remember, 30 years ago, when a teacher told us during a sex ed. class "if you have anal sex with another man, you WILL get AIDS." I'm eternally thankfully to my mother for making me the sort of 13-year-old who immediately thought "WTF?" and argued against the statement!

There is still a lot of homophobia but now they have set their sights on trans people. We all need to stand shoulder to shoulder.

I remember this so clearly. Every morning Murdoch & his cronies attacked. It took two months to get the results from an AIDS test, and a policeman told me, after being attacked on the Brighton sea front, that I should have expected it. The good, old days.
