I think this is just the nature of any app that shows the relevant distance between you and someone else. The only "solution" is to not have any location data of other people sent to the client at all. None. Which kind of ruins the point of the app, no?

If you use a fake gps app with grindr you can hide your location... plus you can see men far beyond your real location without buying the full app
