100% the retailer did the right thing. The rules are there for a reason and they can’t be blamed if the photo on the ID doesn’t look like how they appear in the present day.

Sorry, but I have to side with the retailer here. They have to be careful that they are checking ID properly. If the person doesn’t look like the ID they provide, then it’s hardly surprising they have issues making the purchase!

What a load of complete bollox, its the retailers job to check ID, any doubt and it’s rechecked, they can be fined and in smaller businesses this is often forced on the staff member, they didn’t assume anything, they did there job, get over it
