Now, I know what some of you have been thinking—"I'm a techie and I only want to donate to a fellow techie, maybe a statistician or a COBOL programmer, in a genuine swing district. Don't give me any of this Great Slate propaganda." I got u fam!

Yesterday I had the honor of meeting with Diane Mitsch Bush and her campaign team in Steamboat Springs. Diane is an experienced state legislator, statistician, sociologist, and former COBOL/Fortran programmer (the tech equivalent of being a decorated combat vet)pic.twitter.com/tKchefe3Gn

Colorado's 3rd district is a huge and mountainous, so the Bush campaign has sensibly decided to spend their money opening field offices rather than burn it on TV ads. And that has made the DCCC, which lives off media consulting fees, unhappy with them.

As a result, you have an R+6 district with one of the worst Tea Party incumbents in the country and a strong Democrat running getting almost no national attention. Why EMILY's List, who endorsed people like Christina Hartman last winter, has waited to endorse Diane is beyond me.

If you want to help a campaign that is pursuing a strong field strategy and has every chance of winning, please give to the Bush campaign! For just a few thousand bucks they can open an office in Pueblo, the Rust Belt city that somehow wound up in Coloradohttps://secure.actblue.com/donate/dianeforcoloradocd3 …
