What if—I’m just spitballing here—we rezoned SF and the Valley for tons of new housing, and built a world class transit system for both by taxing tech companies who use the city as a bedroom community?
I feel like being smart is actually a handicap here; people overthink it. There are not enough places to live for the people who now work here, let alone for those who would like t. We should build more, along with transportation to match. There's plenty of room for it, and money

Another point that is not LOGICALLY related at all, but still. There's a group, YIMBYSF, flogging essentially this line of thought "hey, it's simple" and THEY are funded in a large part by the Open Philanthropy boyos. So. There's that.

It's a bit of a stretch to say "welp, I guess they MUST BE WRONG" but I do think it's fair to say that there may be a smallish red flag in play.
