Given the swing we saw in the AZ-08 special election tonight, every one of the Great Slate candidates would comfortably win in November. Help them get there!https://secure.actblue.com/donate/great_slate …

Whatever the final result tonight, it was the hard work of hundreds of volunteers and staff in Arizona that made it happen. The rest of us just watch spreadsheets.

We're less than three weeks from the primaries in Pennsylvania; others are coming up right after. We've seen that progressives will win on the ballot in November; the only question now is if we can get them through the primaries, in the teeth of opposition from our own party.

The Democrats didn't bother to run a candidate in AZ-08 in 2016. Perhaps if they had, tonight we could have won the race outright. A good way to start winning more races is to stop pre-conceding defeat in all of them.

The NYT is claiming that the catastrophic result for Republicans in Arizona shows the 'resilience' of the GOP base. I can't wait to see more of this resilience in the fall.pic.twitter.com/DegVqISHx8
