I don't believe in tainted blood or anything like that. She's running on her father's name and coattails, and is his staunch political defender. I see it as a similar dynamic as LePen and his daughter in France. It's simple dynastic politics.

She has a long political career. She's at least as experience to be a Rep as Hillary was to be President. I mean, Hillary was one of the most experienced people to be a presidential candidate ever. You shouldn't dismiss Liz Cheney just because you know nothing but her name

I’m not dismissing her. I’m advocating running an actual candidate against her. Is that a problem for someone as obviously competent as (you believe) Liz Cheney to be?

Not competent, experienced. She's already the incumbent. I'm addressing the thread claiming she's only running on her father's coattails when in fact she's a politician in her own right. Same as Hillary.

As for running a candidate against her, it's such a solidly Republican state that she'd still likely win against a Democrat even if she were to die before election day. She beat her Democrat opponent in the last election by a 2:1 margin.

And Trump had a 57% approval rate in Wyoming in January. I understand the desire to put everything in play, but I'm not sure this is the greatest use of resources. Who knows though; maybe the blue wave will be a tsunami.

Oh, I'm hoping for that blue tsunami. F*** Trump and a party that inexplicably enables him.

But as you say, there's probably better use of scarce resources :)

There are people who would not otherwise donate who will give specifically for this race. Political money isn't completely fungible.

Sure, it's not completely fungible. But there's money going into this race that could be diverted into another. Outrage is a fine motivating fundraising emotion, but winning is what matters.

the win at all costs mentality is what produces focus-grouped empty suit politics. running is what matters, and saying what you believe in
