they've moved away from subcontractors a lot in the past couple years outside of non-operations related functions (facility security, vendor services, etc.) but from what I've heard it's largely because they're trying to automate more and more warehouse jobs.

My impression is that their logistics operation, at least, is all contractor/casual/below-the-API. Never the same people twice.
