I want to talk about the March 31 Federal Election Commission filing deadline, as I've heard a number of people say they want to give to the Great Slate after their tax return comes back in April. Unfortunately, this stuff can't wait.

Each of our candidates is investing in field operations, which means a combination of phone banking, knocking doors, and doing the kind of stuff I'm trying to get banned on Facebook to identify and reach volunteers. It's effective even though the Democratic party hates it.

The reason the Democratic party hates it is because there's a whole wetlands ecosystem of slime-dwelling consultants who have gotten used to getting rich off of political money both directly by getting kickbacks from spending on TV ads. Field operations mean votes, but not profit
