All of these tweets about it are condescending. I should have followed my instinct when I saw you lurking around in the corners and asked you to leave. Who are you working for?

Hi Shelly, I grew up on Deer Isle until I went to college.
@Pinboard is good people, sarcastic as hell, but good people. :) He’ll make sure your candidates get help from people who want to see a blue wave at the midterms.2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -
And yeah, I remember how it felt to have outsiders come to “fix” Deer Isle... No thank you! But I think
@Pinboard is genuinely delighted by these candidates and just wants to help — except maybe the family foundation guy. ;) Good luck to all the candidates.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -

But you were responding in a way that suggested that "Pinboard didn't like the French accents he heard in Fort Kent" when there's no evidence to support that interpretation.

I thought Nicole was trying to explain the reason for the Tweets. I thought she was saying that Maciej Ceglowski was judging based on accent. Otherwise, I don't understand the accent comment.

The comment is not about the accent. The candidate opened his remarks in French; I was pointing out that there's very few places in the US where you have a native Francophone population.
