Google as workplace is important too. Your focus on product is good. Workers who aren’t scared to be who they are will have more influence on those decisions.

No, they won't. The culture of deference to project managers there is bone deep. Workplace diversity is an absolute good in itself, but using it to improve product decisions requires a willingness to take power rather than wait to be given permission

I don't think people are terrified; I am frustrated to see them not thinking strategically. Probably a conversation better to have off Twitter
