as part of naturalization you’re supposed to give up your passports / other citizenships (leaving aside whether everyone does). what.. what are people who are denaturalized supposed to do? where?

I mean, I know that they don’t forcefully take passports away from you, nor is there a legal prohibition against dual citizenship. I just figured the oath had some intent behind it.

it’s an odd grey area. The oath is unambiguous,but at no point in the process do they mention anything about your other nationality

right. I guess I’m asking how one squares the very concept of “denaturalization” with the statements made in the Oath of Allegiance—if this country believes the words of the oath to be true, what does it believe happens to a person “denaturalized”?
