Yeah, see, I actually met with 4 of the 8 candidates and @pinboard has been directly engaged with all. And they know all this -- and have been saying it for months to anyone who listens. Money is going to real ground game. But thanks for arriving on deadline with all this advice.

More than $50 million was spent in GA special election and vast majority wasted on ads and consultants

Can you do this somewhere else? Because the tactlessness of arriving on THIS thread -- and pontificating without the slightest awareness of what the intentions of these 8 candidates are -- to the effect of convincing others that their support might not be effectual? Assholery.

I fine to have this conversation elsewhere, so feel free to contact me. But you chose a highly public forum to ask strangers to donate, so it's a bit much for you to take offense & name call when someone so much as politely questions if this is the best strategy.

Are you GOP? Do you wish for these candidates not to qualify for DNC support? Apparently that would suit your purpose.

.@A0Despair I've spent nearly 40 years running campaigns & knocking on doors for progressives. The DCCC, not the DNC, funds House candidates. Please know facts before attacking allies with constructive advice. I want good candidates to win, not enrich consultants while losing

I rarely tweet but you're jumping on guy who's devoted his life to the values I thought you support: helping struggling folks. I'm so disappointed that you'd attack a fellow progressive who agrees w/you on 99%. He didn't pick a fight or even disagree with donating to campaigns.

I can't help you. It is his profound miscalculation to interpose in a campaign that is trying desperately to put 8 worthy candidates -- each vetted by
@pinboard, each committed to a grassroots ground game -- and begin telling people that their donations may not matter. Asinine.5 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AoDespair @Pinbioard Are you aware that one of the 8 endorsed candidates, Jared Golden, previously worked for Republican Senator Susan Collins? http://www.pressherald.com/2017/08/24/jared-golden-a-leading-democrat-in-the-maine-house-to-announce-run-for-u-s-congress/ … His web site promises are incredibly vague and he doesn't even have "issues" page https://jaredgoldenforcongress.com/1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

@AoDespair My point isn’t that Golden is necessarily bad candidate. He's got a progressive record in ME Leg. Point is that perhaps who gets to run a credible race for Congress in Maine shouldn’t be unduly influenced by the picks of tech entrepreneur from another state3 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
Feel free to fundraise for your own preferred candidate!

@Pinboard@AoDespair Thank you. We certainly will, but I do think it would be helpful for you to be more transparent to the public that these endorsements are made solely by you, one tech executive, not by any actual organization with any serious vetting process.0 replies 0 retweets 0 likesThanks.
