Here is a sample DCCC Memorandum of Understanding with candidates. I don't know that it's genuine, but it matches what I've heard about these from other sources. Note particularly the demand that 75% of funds raised be spent on ads! https://cdn1.tytnetwork.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/DCCC-TYT.pdf …

Note how the racket works. Candidates have to commit to hiring consultants from a roster maintained by the DCCC. Paid ads and consultants are the least effective use of early money, but that's what the party insists on. We're draining this swamp.

Note especially the prohibition on running a primary on progressive policies like single-payer health care, or any other deviation from the Democratic party line. The DCCC might as well be run by the Republican Party.pic.twitter.com/CMTf490gT3

That statement feels like a stretch. 'Shared values' seems like an intentionally broad statement to allow wiggle room on those things and eliminate campaigning on things like say manditory vaginal ultrasounds

I agree that the wording is vague, but the intent is very much to keep political control over progressives

In my neck of the woods we have NRA and Right to life Dems at the state level so I can see this restriction swinging the other way as well.

that’s a good point. My reading is informed by what I’ve seen—the DCCC actively working to suppress progressive campaigns
