First is the most depressing one. Two of the Great Slate districts aren't even contested. So why is J. Random Bookmark out here trying to raise funds for them and get them resources and help? Why aren't we at full-out war in NM-2 and PA-15?

Third, some of these incumbents are so complacent they're not bothering to raise money. LaMalfa hides from his own constituents at town halls; Steve King is one of the most hated men in Congress. But they think they're untouchable

Fourth, and most important—these candidates have simply enormous resources, thanks to corporate PACs and right-wing donor networks. To beat them will take serious organization, done early and right, to give the people a voice in those districts.

We can't match Republican money. But they won't be able to match real, grassroots organizing for change in their districts, if we give it resources. We simply have to get enough money into those races to fight on even ground against PAC fortunes.

Ok, thanks. I'm giving to ACLU and NAACP who at least have some effective state campaigns for voter registration, getting out the vote, and challenging voter suppression. I would welcome suggestions of similar groups.
