That's what's always bothered me about it. 'Oh no, netflix has to pay comcast extra', which, okay, is bad, but I got the distinct feeling that comcast got paid no matter what.

Agree in theory, but am skeptical that narrative would make it feel more relevant. Net neutrality was “boring” to the avg internet consumer until tech giants joined in.
