On a drive along the Louisiana Gulf coast near Port Arthur, I saw an endless succession of RV parks. Who are the people who live in them?

both those, and also one step down the ladder from the more permanent trailer parks

it's both. I've met tons of retirees in parks like these. It's also itinerant workers in general, not just oil. lots of seasonal work.

also you should stop and talk to folks. people are pretty friendly for the most part. truck stops are an easy place to start a convo w/RVer.

I do! I get pretty nosy on road trips. But this was towards sunset and I didn’t get a chance to stop and talk
