the ds380 or thecus style names can sit around the 80 TB mark (10TB disks) though you want to lose a bit for parity.

I have used 8 bay synologies for sneaker netting stuff https://www.synology.com/en-global/products/DS2415+ … is a reasonable solution

Drobo has some rectangular 8 bay enclosures, that sounds like the right form factor?

I don’t think 8 bays is enough. Also Drobo was very expensive last time I looked at it, compared to just a box of disks
