What’s a lightweight way to monitor web traffic for a dozen web servers? I’ve been using the Etsy graphite+node setup, not sure I like it
see things like hits/second for apache, search query volume, DB graphs, disk writes across a dozen or two machines

I’m more inclined to wire graphite to grafana (better dashboarding than the built-in graphite visualization) 1/2
-
And go with recent rev of graphite so you don’t end up in tsdb version hell 2/2

Prometheus with node_exporter and mysql_exporter, plus Grafana for visualization and these prebuilt dashboards: https://github.com/percona/grafana-dashboards ….

I’m about to start an eval of Prometheus, as a Graphite alternative
