I also find it interesting how many articles about Axel Springer CEO Mathias Dopfner -- not even profiles -- mention that he is six foot seven. I get that this is abnormally tall, it just seems like an odd thing to constantly mention. Would they do it if he was abnormally short?

Nobel Prize-winning economist Milton Friedman was only four-foot nine inches tall, which is extremely short by North American standards, and yet hardly anyone ever mentioned it. But if you're really tall everyone feels like it's relevant for some reason
