It’s more like responsibly pricing negative externalities at the source than a tax, especially if the revenues are just being redistributed (eliminating conflict of interest, i.e. the government trying to maximize those revenues)

Probably nuclear power like there's no tomorrow, geoengineering research (high-altitude aerosols), wind turbine leases on Federal land, and some scheme that pays farmers to sequester carbon on their land.
