What it is about NFTs specifically that is supposed to stimulate tinkering and probing new grounds? As you are very well aware, all the actual creative production and distribution happens using the "old school" tools and channels, just with more money and media attention now.

Can it be that the necessary condition for the outburst of creativity is the very feeling of novelty and the expectation of tectonic changes (no matter how unfounded)? If that's the case, there is no hope for the revival of the old web because it is too familiar and established.
