The trouble is it is guaranteed to get much worse no matter what we do right now. That is not communicated and it is a very dangerous thing not to mention.

That seems like much less of an issue than communicating how serious the situation is and how important it is that we act. This seems like a nibbling at the edges criticism when the biggest issue is even getting people to vote like this matters.

yeah, we're going to have to explain that we're making progress and keeping things from getting worse. But addressing it seriously is the top priority. And when it gets worse people's reaction is going to be to think the people warning them were right...

Every additional delay increases the guaranteed, irreversible negative impacts of climate change. That we can’t stop what’s already coming is not a coherent reason to stop pushing as hard as possible for rapid decarbonization starting right now.
