These are all superpowers for succeeding in adult life. But in America we need to fight the tendency of perceiving these indoctrination efforts as somehow more threatening or successful because they take place in China. Just look at the source material through the eyes of a teen.

Where Xi Jinping Thought turns from tedious to dangerous is where it connects with a sense of resentful nationalism and national grievance, also inculcated in school, which is the one part of the CCP agenda that has a real emotional resonance with large numbers of Chinese people.

Another way to think about Xi Jinping Thought is Star Wars. Communism is the Star Wars universe, it's almost impossible to imagine or describe it in a way that young people don't find exciting. But Xi is George Lucas, he finds a way. And now studying Jar Jar Thought is obligatory

I went to a YMCA camp that was a lot of fun, and a Christian indoctrination camp run by the Moody Bible people that was pretty full-on
